Wheelchair marathon whilst towing a 24kg kettlebell

On Sunday, 31st May, 2026, Ben Beare, covered 42.52km, more than the distance of a marathon, using a manual wheelchair with a handcycle attachment, whilst towing a trailer with a 24kg kettlebell, in 7 hours, 36 minutes at Lar Birpa Athletics Complex, Flora Hill, Bendigo, Victoria.

Ben was supported by his partner Ashlee, children, family and friends and he is becoming a legend in his endeavour to break records, following on nearly one year after he hand cycled 301km in a day in 2025.

The calmness, training dedication and outstanding effort setting Ben apart, whilst retaining a humility wonderful to experience, great job Ben.

Ben's 4 year old son Levi, was also in a record breaking mode, as he spoke non-stop to TABOR observer for 4 hours and is on is way in the future on his record breaking journey.
