The most people wearing conical party hats whilst celebrating

At Amberley District State School Yamanto Qld, 652 students, teachers and parents participated in an exciting record attempt during their morning school assembly.


Together they all wore conical shaped party hats singing “Happy Birthday” and “For He’s A Jolly Good Fellow”, to their mascot Flash for his birthday. Independent witnesses observing the record attempt were Mr. Brendan Kruger, Principal Ripley Valley State Secondary College and Cr. Kate Kunzelmann, Ipswich City Council, Division 4 Councillor.


Being part of a team while having loads of fun all participants followed the below rules:


• The participants wore a conical shaped party hat.


• Hats had to remain on participant’s heads for the duration of the event.


• The event commenced once participants began singing “Happy Birthday”.


• The event concluded after participants finished singing “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow”.


• For every 50 participants, one adult was designated to supervise and record each participant following the rules on record sheets.
