The largest number of heavy horses to pull a laden tabletop wool waggon
Number of horses: 62 - a total of 15 spans of four with two in the shafts

Drivers: Aleks Berzins, Bruce Bandy, Steve Johnson 

Brake: Shane Carroll

Waggon: Bennett tabletop wool/wheat wagon built by James and George Bennett, St Mary’s, NSW, Australia, originally owned by the Davies family, West Wyalong, and now owned by the Barellan Working Clydesdales.

Waggon weight unloaded:  3800kg

Load: 32 bales of Merino wool weighing 200kg each supplied by the Flagg family, Moobooldool, NSW. Total weight of load 6400kg.

Total weight of waggon and load: 10,200kg 

Length from leaders to drivers: 76 metres 

Length of chain: 500m

Horses contributed by: Aleks Berzins, Bruce Bandy, Steve Johnson, Jason Gavenlock, Allison Prentice, Heather McFarlane.

Leaders: Hank, Lady, Digger and Margaret were guided by voice commands

Breeds involved: Australian Draught Horse, pure and part bred Clydesdale, Suffolk Punch, Percheron and Shire. 

The team travelled twice around the 800m trotting track of the Barellan showgrounds on Saturday and Sunday, October 4 & 5, 2025 with two outriders at the rear of the vehicle. There were no assistants leading the horses.
