The dog with the loudest bark

The dog with the loudest bark

On the 19th March, 2013, 6 year old Golden Retriever Charlie has made his family proud whilst coming out at number one against almost 7,000 other dogs around the globe.

Generally not known to be noisy, and certainly neighbour friendly Charlie managed to record an amazing 113.1 decibels while barking.

Even at a construction site the noise level should not exceed 90 decibels, before potentially damaging one's ears, so Charlie has something to brag about.

Charlie's owner, Belinda Freebairn, says her dog developed his bellowing bark, equivalent to the sound of a live rock band, at a young age.
