Largest moth in the world by wing span
The biggest moth in the world hails from tropical north Queensland. The female Hercules moth, Coscinocera Hercules, has a wing-span surface area of up to 27 centimetres. The largest ever Hercules moth was discovered in Innisfail Qld. with a wingspan of 36 centimetres.
