Most number of handmade bookmarks

Congratulations to students from outer Gippsland schools on achieving the national record, for the greatest number of handmade bookmarks by students, celebrating Book Week 2025.

The total made was 667 counted on Thursday the 21st of August, 2025.

The schools who participated are: Heyfield Primary school, Nambrok-Denison Primary school, Stratford Primary school, Yarram Secondary School, Airly Primary School, Gormandale Primary School, St Michaels Primary School (Heyfield), Cowwarr Primary School.


Local libraries will distribute the bookmarks to lucky borrowers, keeping their last read page safe in their book in Wellington Shire.
