Faye Lanyon and John Taylor completed the longest ever triathlon in Australia by swimming 3.9km in Darwin, running 320.1km from Darwin to Katherine and cycling 1,176km from Katherine to Alice Springs. The triathlon was to raise awareness for Jaxon Taylor, who was born with a very rare medical condition CMN. Along the way information pamphlets were distributed and thousands became aware of this syndrome. Temperatures on the road reached upwards of 51 degrees and skin peeled off both athletes feet as they worked their way south until their welcome Alice Springs arrival 1,500km later
