On May 3rd to 5th, 2012, driving a VW Passat TDi drove 2,601.59km (1,616.9 miles) on less than one tank of fuel from Houston Texas to Jacksonville Florida to Herndon Virginia, averaging 2.794 L/100km at a cost of US$75.62.
