Australia’s oldest giant land tortoise
Harriet the giant Galapagos land tortoise was collected by Sir Charles Darwin from the Galapagos Islands in 1935. Harriett lived out the last two decades of her life at Australia Zoo after arriving in 1987 and passing away in 2006, aged around 175.
