Australia’s largest state

Situated in the southern hemisphere, Western Australia occupies around one-third of Australia’s total landmass.

It covers the western third of the continent which totals a huge 2,645,615 km2 or 1,021,478 sq mi. This is approximately 3.5 times the size of Texas and makes Western Australia the second largest state/province/national region in the world.
